Admission and Security

The following information applies to events at the Max-Schmeling-Halle:

Admission generally begins 1.5 hours before the start of the event or concert. Due to security checks, we ask that you arrive on time. You can find the exact admission start time listed for each event.

Please avoid bringing large pieces of luggage or backpacks—only bags up to DIN A4 size (20 cm x 30 cm) are permitted inside the venue after a manual inspection. Please note that there is a fee for storing luggage larger than DIN A4 size (5 euros per item; 3 euros per item for home games of the Füchse Berlin and BR Volleys).

In addition, laptops, tablets, professional camera equipment, GoPros, or similar technical devices are not permitted.

As a general rule, helmets of any kind are considered dangerous items and should not be brought into the venue if possible.

  • Bicycle helmets can be checked free of charge at the baggage check (outside, to the right of the arena)
  • Motorcycle helmets can be checked for a fee at the bag check (outside, to the right of the arena)

A limited number of lockers and coat check areas are available inside the arena for small items of luggage and jackets, subject to a fee.
