An Overview of Our Certifications

Since 2010, the Max-Schmeling-Halle has regularly been awarded the globally recognized Green Globe certification—at the time, it was the first multifunctional arena in Germany to receive it. In 2025, following its routine audit, it was recertified and retained its Platinum status by meeting 96% of the criteria.

The Green Globe program evaluates, among other things, sustainable resource use, social standards, occupational health and safety, visitor information, and customer satisfaction. A key factor in the Max-Schmeling-Halle’s success is its consistent

Resource conservation.

Velomax is also regularly inspected by TÜV and is certified according to the following management systems:
DIN EN ISO 14001 (Environment)
DIN EN ISO 50001 (Energy)
DIN EN ISO 9001 (Quality)
DIN ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety)

As part of Apleona, the group is assessed annually by the independent sustainability rating agency EcoVadis. The assessment is based on 21 criteria in the areas of Environment & Energy, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics & Compliance, and Sustainable Procurement. In 2023, Apleona received the Platinum Certificate for the third consecutive year—the highest EcoVadis distinction.
