With the Fuchsbau – as the fans call their home arena, the Max-Schmeling-Halle – behind them, the pros are constantly inspired and provide highlights galore. In what is already a fast-paced game, the capital city club is a poster child for tireless, high-tempo handball. Mathias Gidsel, the world handball player, has been playing in Berlin for years, and countless home-grown players bring out the club's DNA. Youngsters such as Nils Lichtlein, Matthes Langhoff, and Tim Freihöfer have been playing at the Fuchsbau since they were teenagers and are maturing into international class players in symbiosis with the fans.
